Memories

"Today's special moments are tomorrow's memories.

Dear Sweet Baby,

We can't wait to make memories with you. We can't wait to get the phone call that you are waiting for us. We can't wait to see your sweet face for the very first time. For Gotcha Day and when we become a forever family. Your first smile at Mommy and the first nasty diaper Daddy has to change. Our first trip to the zoo or the beach. We can't wait for our first vacation as a family. We can't wait to have lazy days with you. Pizza and movie nights. I can't wait to watch you and Daddy playing toy cars in the floor. Mommy crying on your first day of school. You snuggling in close when you're sleepy. Christmas mornings and dressing up for Halloween. Easter egg hunts and Thanksgiving dinner. You playing with your cousins and begging for 5 more minutes. Your first sleepover. School plays and playing hooky. Playing board games and you asking if you can sleep with us, just for tonight. I can't wait to watch Daddy rock you to sleep and tuck you in. All these memories, we can't wait to make them with you. We can't wait until God picks you out especially for us. We can't wait to welcome you to our little family. Where Daddy and I will love you unconditionally. We can't wait to make these memories with you, dear sweet baby.

Love Mommy and Daddy.

We Don't Know Who You Are

"Not flesh of our flesh, nor bone of our bone..."

Dear Sweet Baby,

We don't know who you are. We don't know when you will be born. Maybe you already were. We don't know if you will have brown hair like we do or if it will be blond or auburn. Will you have freckles or dimples or a cute button nose. Will you have blue eyes? Daddy does. Or will they e brown like Mommy's? Maybe green, who know? Will you be tall? Daddy is. Or will you be short like Mommy. Maybe somewhere in between. Will you be good at math? We're not. Will you be a picky eater or eat everything in sight? Who knows? Not us. You didn't grow from us. Not our flesh and bone. But you are OUR child. We are YOUR Mommy and Daddy. We don't know who you are but we love you so much already. We can't wait to find out who you are. We love you, dear sweet baby.

Love Mommy and Daddy
